COLLECTIONS

“My hope is that my works will be able to cross cultures, combine them, and mix them together to something new that can touch the observer's hearts”

The Cycle of Five

一虎生,万物生

When I came to China, I realized many of the creatures from ancient stories like the lion-dog or “the pig with 6 wings and no face” were still sticking around and were given new shapes. those creatures caught my eyes and lit my imagination so I start my journey of searching for my own stories to tell through my experience of the Chinese culture and my personal background. at the beginning of 2022 just before the Chinese New Year, I was meeting a friend that told me that this year would be the year of the water tiger, this was the first time I heard about the concept of the Chinese animal zodiac combined with one of the five elements from ancient Chinese philosophy. this idea of an animal combined with an element immediately sparked my imagination and I know what I’m going to create next.

HEROES of TODAY

The mask symbolizes the second face of a person or more, and these faces may symbolize the normative image created by society or under the pressure of the external environment, or it may be the image that one needs and desires, and hopes to achieve.

The HEROES of TODAY series also started from this idea. Everyone has a character they want to be in their hearts. This comes from life, art, work, family, and their own imagination.

Contemporary Gods

July 2019

This project summarizes my 4 years at Shenkar College.
I believe it reflects major parts of the era which we live in right now -
The incredible consumption of information we absorb and process every day.
the blend of cultures and aesthetics that have no rules anymore.
The Human connection that has been taking on a new form in recent years.
And the way we look at each other and at ourselves through social networks and online
platforms.

New Gods

December 2020

This collection was created as an extension of my previous collection Contemporary Gods.

altho this time I used manufacturers in china that use to create mass-production products to create this series. this experience showed me the big difference between making art with my own hand versus using the support of mass production factories and heavy machinery.

this collection open my eyes to the challenges of using this system which was so new to me and all the possibilities it opens for me.

TAAT BRICKS

A fusion between  Indonesia and the Western world

November 2018

-That project was made as a part of a course at Shenkar College.
It was a collaboration between me and Tair Almor (a student at the Industrial design department at Shenkar).
Indonesia was occupied by Europe, (the Netherlands mainly), and absorbed their cultural and visual influences in textiles, arts, and crafts.Tair and I created combinations and fusions of textile leftovers in order to create a new material for designers to work with.
From this new material, we redesigned existing daily objects. The objects that we created reference the Indonesian culture and Western influences.

CaesarStone  Collaboration

Jun 2019

An amazing collaboration between my department at Shankar College and CaesarStone Israel.
At second I received the Caesarstone to my hands and I felt the weight of the stone and the special qualities it's holding know I wanted to preserve those feelings.
The jewelry in this collection are made out of Caesarstone (artificial marble) - model 3100V and brass.
Although it is made out of a stone I gave the jewellery soft filing in order to give the wearer a pleasant and comfortable feeling filing.

The project was instructed by Deganit Schocken & Kobi Perez
